THREE-WAY CALLING

ENJOY 3-WAY CALL WITH THE FLICK OF A FINGER

This feature lets you turn an every day two-way phone call into a three-way conversation. It’s easy!

TO ADD A THIRD PARTY

• First, to hold your existing call, depress the switch hook for about a second.

• Then dial the third number. (Speed calling codes may be used if you also have this feature).

• When the third party answers, you may talk privately before completing your three-way connection.

• With your third party on the line, depress the switchhook for about a second to add the holding party. Your Three-Way Call is now in effect.

• If for some reason the call to the third party is not completed, depress the switchhook twice to get back to your held party.

TO DISCONNECT THE THIRD PARTY

• Depress The Switchhook for about a second. You will now have only the original party on the line.

TO DISCONNECT COMPLETELY

• Simply hang up.

• If either of the other two parties hangs up, you can continue to talk to the one remaining.

CALL WAITING

END BUSY SIGNALS ON INCOMING CALLS

If you have an incoming call while you’re already on the line, the Call Waiting feature will alert you. You may then put the first party on hold while you catch your second call. It will greatly reduce missed calls due to a busy phone!

HERE'S HOW YOUR CALL WAITING FEATURE ALERTS YOU

• A beep tone tells you another call is waiting.

• If you have Personal Ringing, you will hear a different beep tone to match the ring of each number, so you will know which number is being called.

• Another reminder tone will be heard 10 seconds later if the waiting call remains unanswered.

• The second caller hears the normal ringing tone only.

TO ANSWER THE SECOND CALL

• Depress the switchhook for about one second to place your first call on hold.

• You will automatically be connected with the second caller.

TO ALTERNATE BETWEEN CALLS

• By depressing the switchhook for about a second, you may alternate between calls.

• Each conversation is private and cannot be heard by the other caller.

TO TERMINATE EITHER CALL

• Simply hang up.

• Your telephone will then ring.

• When you answer it, you’ll be connected with the other caller.

TO TEMPORARILY CANCEL

To Temporarily cancel Call Waiting (where available) before making a call:

• Listen for dial tone.

• Dial “*70”.

• Listen for dial tone.

• Dial the number you wish to reach.

YOU CAN TEMPORARILY CANCEL CALL WAITING (WHERE AVAILABLE)

WHILE A CALL IS IN PROGRESS IF YOU HAVE THREE-WAY CALLING.

• Depress the switchhook for about one second to put the call on hold.

• Listen for dial tone.

• Dial “*70”.

• Depress the switchhook to return to your call. Call Waiting is automatically reactivated when you hang up.

Note: You cannot cancel Call Waiting while a call is in progress and a third party is trying to reach you.

CALL FORWARDING

FORWARD YOUR PHONE CALLS

This feature means your phone can transfer incoming calls to another number of your choice. Call Forwarding is great for the business person who wants to catch after-hours business calls at home, or for anyone who doesn’t want to miss an important call.

TO CALL FORWARD

• Listen for the dial tone.

• Dial “72”.

• Depress the “#” button.

• Listen for the dial tone then dial the number… where calls will be forwarded.

• When someone answers at the forwarded number, the feature is in effect.

• Once you’ve activated Call Forwarding, the phone will make one short ring each time a call is forwarded. However, you can still make out-going-calls from this phone.

• If you have Personal Ringing, you may decide to forward calls for both numbers, or only your primary number, while your secondary number rings at home. The decision is made upon application.

• Long distance charges apply for calls forwarded outside your local calling area.

IF NO ANSWER OR BUSY

• Repeat above steps within two minutes of original call.

• Two beeps indicate the feature is in effect.

TO DISCONTINUE CALL FORWARDING

• Listen for the dial tone.

• Dial “73”.

• Depress the “#” button.

PERSONAL RINGING (TEEN LINE)

Do you get tired of answering the telephone only to find out it is for your teenager? Do you want two telephone numbers, but do not want to pay the additional cost of an extra telephone line? Personal Ringing will enable a subscriber to have two telephone numbers associated with a single line. Customers subscribing to this service will be able to receive calls dialed to two separate telephone numbers without having a second line. A distinctive ringing pattern will be provided for each of the telephone numbers to facilitate identification of incoming calls. A distinctive Call Waiting tone for each telephone number will be provided, where facilities permit, to customers subscribing to Call Waiting service. This service is available to individual line residence and business customers. Personal Ringing subscribers will be entitled to one listing with each Personal Ringing number.
